WELCOME TO THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION EXTRAORDINARY MINISTER OF HOLY COMMUNION
AND SACRISTAN PAGE
At Immaculate Conception Church our Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion serve in several roles. The most common role Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion is to assist at Mass. Since Covid at most Masses we only need one additional minister per Mass. In addition to serving at Mass, it has been decided that the Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at Mass will also serve as the Sacristan. As the Sacristan the Extraordinary Minister will clean and prep the Sacred Vessels for the next Mass.
The other important role the Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at Immaculate Conception assists with taking Holy Communion to our homebound parishioners. In addition to taking Holy Communion, they assist with communicating the individual's pastoral needs to the pastor.
If you are interested in serving as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, please fill out the form below. You might be asked to meet with the pastor in the event you are new to the parish or if he doesn't know you well enough to make an immediate decision. Afterwards, you may feel free to sign up for a training session by clicking the button "Available Trainings" below. If there are no other training sessions, we will retain your information and yet you know about more localized training sessions in the area. In the event there are enough individuals interested (usually 10 or more); Father Carroll can request to do a training session here in the parish. Those being considered for this ministry must be a Catholic in good standing and 18 years of age and older.
